• Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited — used for security and to improve the platform.

• To create and manage your account on Noor Match.
• To display your profile to other approved members seeking marriage.
• To facilitate matches and communication between members.
• To verify your identity and maintain platform safety.
• To moderate content and enforce our Terms of Use.
• To send you important platform notifications (e.g., new interests, matches).
• To improve our platform features and user experience.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is shared only in the following limited circumstances:

• Other members: Your profile information (as you configure it) is visible to approved members of the opposite gender seeking Nikah.
• Your wali (guardian): If you add a wali, their involvement is limited to what you choose to share with them.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect safety.
• Platform administration: Our admin team reviews profiles, reports, and flagged messages for safety.

4. Photo Privacy

By default, profile photos are blurred and visible only after a mutual match. You can configure your photo privacy settings in your profile. We do not use your photos for advertising or share them outside the platform.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data including:

• Passwords are stored as strong hashed values (bcrypt) — we never store plain text passwords.
• CSRF protection on all forms.
• Rate limiting to prevent abuse.
• Admin approval before profiles are visible to other members.

However, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and report any suspicious activity immediately.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal profile information is deactivated. Some data may be retained in logs for security purposes for a limited period.

7. Your Rights

• Access: You can view and edit your profile information at any time.
• Deletion: You can delete your account through your profile settings at any time.
